Man, I just started playing a few days ago and I really wish I had been informed about patches causing this sort of problem. Just used a nav beacon to warp to a hostile area for a mission. So, who here thinks my ship is boned?

You know what would be really nice.
1. Having some sort of estimate on how long things are going to be down. 2. Having someone mention to me that this sort of thing happens when EVE is patched. 3. If anyoneÆs ship is destroyed as a result of this issue, the admins drop one in a hanger for them... (although I would put in on the other side of the galaxy for them to pick up because I'm like that) :D 4. If the server didn't let anyone log in, in the first place for 24 hours upon patch release so as no one gets boned.
I know, # 3 is a stretch, but wouldnÆt it be nice :D

You know, going outside would be nice, but seeing snow melting in the middle of December kind of makes me depressed in the realization of global warming. (Note: I live in one of Canada's snow-belt regions.)
... WHY THE HELL DO I SEE GREEN GRASS!?!!

You know, I think WoW's 48 hour scheduled maintenance downtime every couple of months is somewhat better then this kind of unexpected, chaos inducing randomness.
Ya hear that admins. Might cut back on the craziness of patch day :D
Oh yeah, before anyone makes some comment about me playing WoW and telling me to go back to my Everquest clone, I should mention that I got bored of it, fantasy just doesn't do it for me :D

Sweet, I learned something new today :D

If your ship is insured you should be able to get it back with the money that you will recieve. I'm a noob as well, so i can't tell you what happens if you get pod killed, as I do not know.

P.S. Feel free to ***** about me forevermore on this thread...unless it gets locked so no-one else can go 'got booted now i can't log back on'
This isn't a flame, but wouldn't you compain if you found a fingernail in your BigMac. I cant make a BigMac, but I'd compain about its quality.

Good to know I'm not the only person here who works kitchen, even though itsÆ the schools pub. Yeah, I know, **** happens. Hell I have screwed up an order or two in my day but in that event I have apologized and compensated the customer. I think thatÆs what most people are getting *****y about.
Only reason why I'm getting annoyed is that this problem could have been avoided by scheduling down time to make sure everything is running smoothly rather than boot a few thousand people all of a sudden.
